Spent a lovely afternoon with local printmaker Gerard Hobson taking shots in and around his studio in preparation for his new website. I find artist's 'spaces' fascinating and Gerard's didn't disappoint with personalised inks, paint & lino prints in progress scattered around the place...although I suspect he'd tidied up a bit before I arrived ;-)
Gerard originally trained in Zoology so it's no surprise animals & particularly birds feature heavily in his work.
He specialises in limited edition hand coloured linoprints but his work also features on lampshades and fabrics.
