I've been involved in a large scale community production by York Theatre Royal and Pilot Theatre, based at the National Railway Museum in York. It tells the rise and dramatic fall of George Hudson, 'The Railway King' (George Costigan) who built the East Coast main line. It's been a terrific project starting with the auditions back in January at the NRM, through to rehearsals at various sites in York, costume making, choir rehearsals, cast portraits and finally the Dress & Tech rehearsals on site at the NRM.
Always fascinating & a real honour to see how the play and characters develop over the months.
